Search now understands OR, title: and minus
The search box takes a few operators now. Typing plain words works the same as before; the operators only apply when you write them.
| Type | What it does |
|---|---|
golang OR rust | jobs matching either one. Uppercase OR, up to five alternatives |
title:"product owner" | the role has to be in the job title, not just mentioned somewhere in the description |
-junior | leaves out postings that match the word |
"product owner" | every quoted word has to appear, in any order |
They combine. Someone looking for a product role in Danish and English might
search title:"product owner" -junior OR title:produktchef and get one list. Each posting appears once, and the filters, sorting and counts
all apply to the whole result.
title: is the one that cuts the most noise. On the day it shipped, a plain "product owner" search returned 10,354 postings, many of which only mentioned
a product owner somewhere in the description. title:"product owner" returned 6,028.
The same syntax works everywhere freehire can be searched: the site, the public API, the freehire command-line tool, the ChatGPT app and
any AI agent connecting through MCP or OJCP. An agent looking for several job
titles can now ask once with OR instead of making one call per title.
